We are a company specialized in e construction of underground mining works and the exploitation of mineral deposits based in Guanajuato, Mexico.
With more than 20 years of business strength and experience, CoMinVi has managed to position itself as the leading contractor company in the underground mining industry in the Mexican Republic, as well as making its way abroad.
Our main mining activity is the development of tunnels and the production of deposits for national and foreign companies. During our history, we have collaborated in more than 36 projects with leading companies in the mining sector dedicated to the exploitation of minerals.
Mr. Rafael Villagómez Contreras, a founding partner of CoMinVi, has extensive experience in the underground extraction mining sector, since his grandfather, Mr. Rafael Villagómez Hernández, entered in 1934 to work at the “El Cubo” mine; his son, Mr. Rafael Villagómez Mapes joined in 1965 and separated from him in 1972 to create his own contracting company.
In 1997, Mr. Rafael Villagómez Contreras, after a mining family tradition, started his own business, started works in the mining sector by executing works in a quarry deposit. This first experience motivated it to continue growing and buying machinery and equipment to hire specialized and more relevant jobs to become a formal contractor since 2002 based in the state of Guanajuato.

For eighth consecutive year, the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía, A.C. or CEMEFI), awarded CoMinVi the distinction as a Socially Responsible Company (ESR), which is a great honor, but at the same time a great responsibility.
PST
At CoMinVi, quality and safety go hand in hand, which is why we certify our administrative and safety procedures, but above all, we ensure the strict adherence and execution of our Safe Work Procedures (PST) in our operations.

Adhering to the 10 principles to promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), three years ago, we signed the United Nations Global Compact with the firm objective of strengthening the areas of human rights and business, labor standards, the environment and fight against corruption.
Jumbo is the name given to an electro-hydraulic equipment equipped with one or several hydraulic hammers (drills) on hydraulic arms that allow access to any part of the face. It is a machine designed to carry out underground work quickly and automatically: advancement of tunnels and galleries, cross drilling, benching with horizontal holes and mining by cut and fill, among others.
